Ok. Está bien... entiendo el mensaje. A partir de ahora, todo cuesta abajo.
Here it is... the end.. the decadence. Now it is all going down and falling into the abyss. Like the first time a child called me madam and opened a door for me. Terrible...The message came.. I understand it... A messacge fro match.com, from a brainless 27 year old guy... And his last senteces 2 And yes, I like older women" :o WWHAAAAAAAT????!!! OLDER WOMEN????????!!!!!!!! Brainless stupid bastard.
Ok , It ok. I understad the message. From now on, it's all downhill

Nunca soy lo bastante buena para ti.
Me querías musical, y me hice musical.
Me vuelves loca.
Puta cruel y despiadada.
I am never good enough for you
You wanted me musical. I became musical. You wanted me playing. I played. You wanted me to make courses. I took courses. You wanted me taking exams, I took the exams. You wanted me to know all the laws, I learnt all the laws. YOu wanted me to speak English, I went to imnprove my English.
But it is never enough. I am never good enough for you. I am never what you want me to be. Every year you want me different, and you despise my achievements and laugh at me. I can hear you high pitch laughter piercing my ears, cutting my throat, splitting my stomach open...Every achievement you throw back at my face and you spit it back at me. And I feel again that I am never good enough. No matter what I do, no matter how hard I try, nothing is good enough for you. You and your stupid rating scale...
You drive me crazy. You know that you will never choose me, that I will never be the one An yet, you make me change. You make me dance at the rythm of your music just to humiliate me and laugh at me, and see how I desperately try to obtain the love you will never give me.
You ruthless fucking bitch.

Soy morena, pero hermosa..../ I am dark, but comley....
Hoy he ido al ikea.
Se lo digo cuatro veces y copia mal el principio y me dice " You are being non cooperative" -Y yo desesperada.. "I am telling you" Se lo digo otra vez y vuelve a poner un número mal.
Today I went to Ikea. I came back with a little trolley carrying lots of staff… on my own. Pushing and opening doors. And on the subway there is a door, and instead of using the turnstiles I used the door. I have an unlimited ride card for the month
So I go through the door and two policemen stop me. I show them the card and they don’t care. They say I have not passed it .I say “But it is unlimited, I don’t get rides discounted or anything” But it does not matter, they fine me. I tell them to write down that I have it, and one of them says that he is the police officer and that it is his job to write the ticket, and that I can say whatever afterwards.
They ask for an ID, where I live…. They ask for my social security number and because there is music playing in the background, the imbecile does not get it. I tell him four times and at the beginning he says “you are being non cooperative” and I ,in despair “ I am telling you” I tell him again and he writes one number wrong and he says “Tell the judge” I tell them where I work , they don’t know. I repeat it three times and I have to spell it. And when I tell them the address of the school he does not even write it…60$ faint because I did not pass the unlimited ride card…where nothing was going to be discounted.
What a sad sensation of powerlessness about injustice. Just because I look Latina.
I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. Look not upon me, that I am swarthy, that the sun hath tanned me.

Still I rise/ Y a pesar de todo, me levanto
This month is teh month dedicatedto bkack history here in USA. At school, a poem reading was organised, and this poem was read.
It is a poem that talks about life, inner strenghth, about the ability to overcome sadness, sorrow, and, over all, about the capcity to fight all that oppresses us, tha makes us small, that traps us...
I have also found a video of the author reding it...It says it all
Still I rise
Maya Angelou (EEUU, 1928- )
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?
Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.
Me levanto
De un pasado enraizado en el dolor
Me levanto
Soy un océano negro, impetuoso y extenso,
Fluyendo y embraveciendo soporto la marea.
Dejando atrás noches de espanto y miedo
Me levanto
En un nuevo día asombrosamente claro
Me levanto
Me levanto.
Me levanto
Me levanto.

Mi vida en el cole/Life in school
Y no estoy siendo sarcástica.
Yesterday it was my first day of class after the holidays. One delicious comfortable wonderful week of not working...apart from some small stressing details I'd rather forget about.
So yesterday I went back.
First period Spanish 1: Freshmen, the kids were tired, didn't realise they were back. I gave them a worksheet and they kind of did it not really knowing what they were doing. I explained it to the class, and of course, afterwards, I had to go one by one telling them what they were supposed to do. Needless to say today they had all lost or forgotten , not only what they had learned from the worksheet, but even the worksheet itself and the work they had done from it. I usually let some of them listen to their mp3 while they work so they are quiet, but then they sing to the music and talk louder to the other students, and of course keep the headphones on while I speak. I would also keep them on while I speak. And because it is first period they arrive one by one, maybe each five minutes, say hello to all the other friends in class, even if I am explaining something and ask what it is that they have to do.
Fourth period Spanish 5: Doing the same work as Spanish one, basically, only that they go a bit quicker. They are clever and intelligent, but do not really study. First, Christopher laying on a table because he was tired. I manage to squeezed a few words while Emmanuel and William were filling out their job applications for something, and while Christopher kept very worriedly talking to the other Christopher and Glenys about something really important, and got really annoyed when his conversation was interrupted by my directions of how to complete the worksheet, and told me to hurry up so he could keep on talking. And then Geoffrey, whose real name is note Geoffrey but he likes to be called so, came in ten minutes before the classed finished, and said hello to everybody after the holidays, and put the worksheet I do not know where...And neither does he, because today I had to give a new one. That or have him doing nothing for the whole period.
Five period Health: Almost 40 minutes to read two pages about self-steem. A mixed class of a couple of seniors who behave like freshmen and keep talkin and talking and commenting on everything all the time without interruption, and three sofomores that keep making noises and all sorts to be sent out of class, and two groups of girls, one of which are loud and completely ignore me, and the other which keep giggling as young freshmen that they are.
Seventh period Spanish 5: Only approximately 8 of the 20 ever come to class, and sometimes they are not the same. Same worksheet. They did the work, but they keep talking all the time. Eventually was able to tell them what to do...I just got interrupted every three words of a sentence...but got there
Eight period Native Spanish: Native and heritage kids who speak Spanish, with two girls that speak no Spanish at all and one girl who speak some Spanish. Three different sets of work for about 10 kids that come to class. Stephanie, who speaks very little is very loud. So she shouts and laughs and screams. When she learns she really learns, and the rest just watch how she learns. I sat down to explain something to the middle level girl, while Stephanie kept firing staples to Jeremy, who has very thick afro hair, and never want to work because he “ don ondetrein” and while the other Stephanie fixed the first Stephanie's hair and then Geoffrey, the one from period 4 decided to come in my class because his girlfriend is there, and just came in to check on her and gave her a kiss while I was trying to read something with the class.
Well…it was actually a good day. They all behaved. It all went well and according to plan And I am not being sarcastic, this is how this is
I forgot. The have their cell phones all the time, and while these and other things happen, they send text messages to each other. How great communication is!!

Nieve en Nueva York/ Snow in New York
So mote it be.

Yesterday the snow arrived in New York, at night, without warning, stealthily. I woke up and it was there, waiting for me, covering everything with its cold embrace.
A so did your call arrived, in the night, secretively, quietly. Just to greet me in the morning, And your cold lips woke me up slightly touching my cheek, your chilly arms around my body, you frozen skin filtering that freezing love that you bestow me, without which I can not live. That glacial void that gives ground to your passion, that makes your caresses alive, that is the only thing left behind that hollow passion you devote to me.
Your inflaming kisses only conceal icy flakes of frosty snow, your desperate embraces are nothing but freezing rivers of unspoken broken promises. But in each kiss, in each caress of your fingers on my breast, behind that passionate appearance there is only an eternal emptiness that grasps my stomach, goes up my throat and settles in my brain and it prevents me from thinking, from acting…
Like the snow, you seem soft and comfortable… you seem to be asking me to lay down and roll over you to welcome me with open arms, you seem soft and fun… But then, you are cold and distant, and after a small moment of enjoyment and joy, after rolling on the floor and cover myself with soft flakes, that humid cold appears, so cold that it burns my soul, that settles in my bones and numbs my reflexes.
You arrived with the snow, to call me to your side, and I come to you trying to find in my pockets leftovers from other times, from the time when I was young and joyful, when my brain cells had not succumbed to the decay of your love, when my will was a precious treasure…
You have been published again…and again I come to you…
So mote it be.
And don't miss the photos of central park and the snow :D

Llamame.../Call me....
I am going to become a pole dancer, so that when I am called "bitch" at least it has some positivie connotations...Call me bitch... yes...but with love...

Well, it seems that it is not so cold now that it is only -0º and it is just snowing lots. Not much, if you compare it with this morning -11º, that became -14º with the wind chill. New concept for me... wind chill...chill chill, chill indeed

Lost in the bronx / Perdida en el Bronx
-How did you get here?- Sorprendida, pregunto
-Pardon?- Y 'el contesta
- QU'e c'omo llegaste? En gua-gua? Que est'as muy lejos
- S'i s'i, en gua- gua.
-Espera- y grita- Mariol, can you give a lift to this young lady to the west side?- Y otro que me mira y dice:

Romance para Mar'ia / Poem for Mary
Nueva York de mis entragnas
que mala vida me das,
con lo mucho que te quiero
cuanto me haces suspirar.
Estando yo en Nueva York
mucho tiempo sin fumar,
decid'i poner remedio
a este tan triste penar.
Mi amiga J me dijo
intent'andome ayudar
" A un amigo de MAr'ia
yo te voy a presentar
solamente por si acaso
algo le quieres comprar.
Vete el viernes y le buscas,
por 'el pregunta en un bar"
Nueva York de mis entragnas
que mala vida me das,
con lo mucho que te quiero
cuanto me haces suspirar.
A un camareroocupado
yo le fui a preguntar
" No ha venido esta noche,
pero le puedo llamar"
Como un poco me aburr'ia
se me ocurri'o flirtear
conun hcico que all'i andaba
paralos dardos jugar.
Este no me hac'ia caso,
pero me vino a invitar
uno con una cerveza
que conmigo quer'ia hablar.
"Eres guapa, eres bonita,
aqu'i me quiero quedar.
Solo busco compagn'ia,
anda, venga, nada m'as"
Una cerveza yunchiste
y me empieza a preguntar.
Le contesto y le pregunto
en qu'e viene a trabajar:
"NO me importa, te lo digo,
nome gusta alardear,
mas soy de la polic'ia
que patrulla la ciudad.
Estoy aqu'i con los amigos
que venimos a tomar
unas cuantas cervecitas
los viernes, a descansar"
Nueva York de mis entragnas
que mala vida me das,
con lo mucho que te quiero
cuanto me haces suspirar.
El amigo de amiga
nunca lleg'o a llegar,
nada supe de Mar'ia
y tampoco de comprar.
Y aqu'i sigo en Nueva York,
solitaria y sin fumar
buscando a una tal Mar'ia
que conmigo quiera andar
y vivir las aventuras
que surgen en la ciudad.
Nueva York de mis entragnas
que mala vida me das,
con lo mucho que te quiero
cuanto me haces suspirar.

Mi querido temario / My beloved oposición books
Has atravesado mares, has cruzado fronteras, has pasado de mano en mano, hasta encontrarme.
This is it. You found me at last. I tried to go far away. But a friend’s friend brought you back to me. You have gone through seas, crossed borders, gone from hand to hand, until you found me.
And yesterday somebody brought you to me, wrapped in a small packet. I felt you, I looked at you, then I took your clothes off gently. I opened you. I read your first pages. And I found promises of great wisdom And I knew that it was just the first of the many hours we are going to spend together.
And I could not avoid it, I took you to meet my friends, I introduced you to them: They smiled at you and realised how important you are in my life. And then I took you with me to know New York by night, to drink beer, to dance, to meet new people… And for the first in the last few weeks I saw the sun rising and got home at seven.
I can’t avoid it, my love, you come to me bringing memories of that big traitor and, as soon as I see you, I just have to go out to dance and enjoy. This, dear oposicion book, is the effect you have on me.

Trabajo en Nueva York 1/Working in new York 1
Me dijero...
Have you seen dthe dog? Where do you think the dog is?"

This is the first summary of how work has been for me in the Big Apple since I arrived here. I’ll start from the beginning.
First I arrived and had an interview on the third day of my stay here. I had some courses in the morning, so I headed for the course before the interview. I was so professional and beautiful. And on my way to the course, one of my shoe’s high heel broke. I know, it only happens in films…So I tried to fix it buying some glue and fixing it, but it didn’t work. I just got my hands covered with glue. So I was told “ There is a very cheap shoe-shop round the corner” I got there and it was closed. And I had to print a CV too, because I had changed it. So there I was somewhere in Manhattan trying to look for a shop to print things and some cobblers. Finally I found everything, but I had been given the wrong directions. So I ended up in 125th and Amsterdam, instead of number 125th in Amsterdam street…this is to say… fucking miles away. Of course, I did not even know where I was, so I called my brother in Spain for directions….and finally I got there. Needless to say, I never got that job.
Then, as I did not have a job, I became a susbstitute teacher. But on the first days there were no sbutitutions to attend, and we were taken to the rubber room, the room where all the teachers that can not teach for any reason are. And we had to be there without going anywhere during the day. Once I asked if I could go for a coffee, and they said “ Well.. you have to be here” But I was there there doing nothing. However, I was paid for being there.
Then they found a job for me, and I was really happy, but it happened to be in a primary school to teach seven years old. And I was tehre with a techer reding tales for two days “ Have you seen the dog? Where is the dog? “
I am not a particularly a child person, and there I was, scared, having to teach science, maths and everything. And I got an interview. I get there, everything fine and then, in the middle of the interview, it is a job to teach Spanish and not English.I say, ok. I’ll get it. And the principal in the interview telling me that his father was Catalan, and I saying “Oh... Cataluna... what a wonderful place”, and he telling me he had seen Joaquin Cortes in Madrid, and I saying “ Oh how wonderful Joaquin Cortes”... and I got the job
Finally, I have to fix my licence, I am allowed to get the job, I am going to sign the contract, and after fighting burocracy for three days, at the moment of signing, I am told my fingerprints are not cleared, and I can not even go to school. And me thingking...those clever people at the Department of Education that have taken my fingerprints twice already, and they are not clear yet. If it is the bloke of CSI, the one that gives the glass to the murderer to get their fingeprints, they would not catch one single criminal.. not one...Useless ....
And this is how I got to work in this beautiful High School, Bayard Rustin Educational Complex

Me dijero...
